South Coast Hospice launches the Mental Health Community services in partnership with the Department of Health and the Psychiatric unit of Port Shepstone Hospital.

These services include the Betania Wellness home, a step up facility for the reintegration of patients into their communities. Also included is the Home Visit Care and support of patients and their families in addressing the many challenges that are encountered within communities, this could be Adherence to treatment, A lack of understanding and Stigma within the community.

The knowledge and experience gained by providing Palliative care services will be beneficial, as the inter-disciplinary model of care ensures quality services.
