MISSION

South Coast Hospice Association is a non-profit organization committed to serving the needs of the community in the UGU Health District in KwaZulu-Natal, using an interdisciplinary team approach across all our programmes, working in partnership and contributing to the Strategic Goals of the Department of Health.

We provide Palliative Care and Support:

• To patients with cancer, HIV/AIDS and Motor Neuron Disease.
• To stable mental health patients, for their rehabilitation and reintegration into society.
• To families, youth and children in need of psycho-social and bereavement support.
• By training our staff and volunteers, other healthcare workers and the community.
• For adherence to treatment via our approved Central Chronic Medicines Dispensing and Distribution (CCMDD) programme for stable patients. 
• By screening for TB and Covid 19 for all patients and families whom we care for.

Care and support is given in the patient’s own home, supported by our Kingfisher Day Clinic as well as the Hospice Bethania Mental Health Wellness Centre, ensuring that no one is left behind.
